Thank you for your continued interest and support of SOMA RESIDENCE HAKUBA.
To enhance our accommodation experience and provide you with an even more comfortable stay, we will be closing for renovation from April 1, 2025, with an expected re-opening by Autumn, 2025.
We have received numerous requests from our guests for more sleeping areas, primarily more bedrooms for families and friends to enjoy their time together.
Therefore, we will be adding a new guest room and renovating the facility to better serve a larger number of guests. After this renovation, we will strive to offer an even more fulfilling space and service, and we look forward to welcoming you back.
We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause and appreciate your understanding. We will keep you updated on the reopening date and renovation progress through our official website and social media channels.

Relax and unwind amidst a majestic private forest in this 194 square meter, three bedroom luxury residence. Formally a historic family home re-imagined to exceed modern expectations. Soma features a traditional Japanese entrance lobby and grand ceilings with preserved timber beams in the living and dining areas.

Respectful of the former owners & the historical significance of this special property, no expense was spared in its restoration & upgrade. Guests will experience traditional alpine Japan but want for nothing when it comes to modern conveniences. Situated on approximately 6,000sqm of pristine forest & only minutes from all Hakuba has to offer.

The Residence
With a spacious Onsen Bath, separate living and dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen as well as laundry room with in-unit washer/dryer, all your needs are taken care of.
The master and second bedrooms come with king and double beds respectively and both rooms feature a walk-in wardrobe. The third guest-bedroom has two double beds, spacious bathroom, toilet and robe.
Ammenities
With complimentary Wi-fi and high speed internet, Smart TV and wireless bluetooth speakers by Bang & Olufsen all your needs for connectivity and entertainment are met. Should you wish to prepare your own meals, the modern kitchen is equipped with conventional & microwaves ovens, dishwasher, cook-top and refrigerator.
A complete laundry room with large washer & dryer is pre-stocked with washing supplies for your convenience. While the spacious spacious drying room, vented to the outside of the house, will prepare all your damp ski gear for the next days adventures on the slopes of Hakuba.
